Hypnotherapy for Phobias
The definition of a phobia is an irrational fear, although this doesn't feel the case at the time! Panic attacks and other fight or flight symptoms often occur at the time of heightened anxiety.
Most phobias are formed after a trauma or experience (e.g. a turbulent flight) or can be learned behaviour ("my Mum was scared of spiders too").
Simple phobias, in my experience, can be resolved easily with a short course of hypnotherapy, as the fear lies in the subconscious mind. Suggestion therapy and visualisations are extremely potent in the case of many phobias from fear of travel, spiders, 'the dark', enclosed spaces to many more unusual fears.
Please visit our testimonial section for many examples where we have helped our clients deal with their phobias.
